We have been incredibly busy the first quarter of 2020, with new projects, new applications, and continued performance across the water, wastewater and bio-based chemicals sectors.
We are proud to have won the 2020 Institute of Water Scottish Region Innovation Award, and are grateful to our partners including Scottish Water and the Water Test Network. Great results are coming out of our work in the United Kingdom including our work with Scottish Water and Thames Water.
Our MicroNiche Engineering (MNE) platform is pushing the boundaries of process improvements across a variety of industries and we are pleased that we have successfully applied MNE for low-cost water reuse in agriculture.
In California, Microvi MNE will be used for the Bay Area's first full-scale sidestream treatment system. And, as part of our partnership with Elemental Excelerator, we will be installing a nitrate treatment system in the Central Valley of California to bring clean drinking water to rural communities.
