Microvi Wins East Bay Innovation Award

March 9, 2017 – Microvi has been awarded an innovation award in Clean Tech, the company announced today.

The awards by the East Bay Economic Development Alliance (EDA) celebrate cutting-edge innovators in business that make the East Bay area one of the preeminent regions of innovation in the nation. The East Bay EDA is a public–private partnership founded in 1990 to serve the East Bay area. The event is organized in cooperation with the San Francisco Business Times.

Microvi won in the Clean Tech category of the annual awards. The ceremony announcing the winners was held March 9 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif.

“We are proud to be recognized as an innovator in clean technology. The East Bay area is home to many important innovators, and we thank the EDA for recognizing Microvi’s revolutionary technologies,” said Microvi Director of Innovation Research, Ameen Razavi.

The recognition comes as Microvi has launched a new commercially-scaled installation in southern California that uses its proprietary Denitrovi™ technology to clean nitrate from groundwater.
