Microvi’s Innovative Technology to be Presented at WEFTEC 2016

Sept. 15, 2016 – Two white papers about Microvi’s innovative wastewater treatment technologies will be presented at this year’s WEFTEC exhibition and conference, the company announced today.

The papers focus on recent projects that have proven the effectiveness of Microvi’s nutrient removal technologies, which are built on the patented MicroNiche Engineering™ (MNE) platform.

This year’s WEFTEC is being held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans from Sept. 24 – 28, 2016. The conference is billed as the largest gathering of water quality professionals in North America and the largest water quality exhibition in the world. It is organized by the Water Environment Federation.

“Engineered Biocatalysts: An Innovative Solution for Nutrient Removal from Wastewater” is an independent examination of the performance of Microvi’s wastewater technologies and will be discussed Tues., Sept. 27 at 4:30 pm in room 354 of the convention center. It is authored by experts from preeminent water firm MWH Global. This paper covers a pilot study conducted at a wastewater treatment plant by the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System.

A second paper, “The Use of Reclaimed Water for Power Plant and Wetland Rehydration Applications: Evaluation of Technologies to Meet Fit for Purpose Water Quality,” compares Microvi’s wastewater technologies to other available treatment technologies. It will be presented Tues., Sept. 27 at 2:30 pm in room 355 of the convention center.
